Model Number: WJRR4170E Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years
My washing machine is leaking from the bottom of my machine. I removed the front panel but there is no indication as to where the leak is coming from...the entire bottom is wet. Is is safe for me to run a cycle with the front panel removed to get a better idea of where the issue is or do you have any suggestions? Please help! Thanks!

well...I watched the machine with the cover off...it ran just fine with no leaks when the water level was on medium but when i ran it on super water started gushing out of the overflow pipe (or what i believe to be the overflow pipe) it's as if it doesn't realize when its full while on super...any suggestions? could it be the pressure switch? or a clog? Help!!

Go ahead and run the machine with the front panel off, no harm can come and we do it all the time.
Unless your leak is with a hose or at the pump it is probably the tub seal, in which case water may have gotten into the transmission housing and damaged it, or will do so in the future. Given the cost of that repair a new machine may be worth considering.

Thanks a bunch for the info! I was able to see that the machine only leaked during large and super loads so I unclogged the little tube that connects to the little box on the left side of the tub. The washer is working just fine now. Most appreciate your help!
