Cold water trickles into the tub, is there a screen or filter on the incoming water lines that can be cleaned?

It can be cleaned from the outside with the hose removed or you can remove the screen. Be aware that if you remove the screen, you need to make sure no grit gets behind it or into the valve. It could cause the valve to sick open. Most of the time I just replace the valve to be on the safe side. Accidentally flooding your customer's house over a $25 to 30 valve is a bad idea. ;)
