I have a Kenmore washer that makes a really loud whirring noise during the spin cycle.

Hi,
First I'd check all the little holes in the tub to see if anything is stuck in one. We see nails, screws, underwires, etc. stuck thru those little holes. If that's your case check thoroughly so the object doesn't cut thru the outer tub.
Hope that helps.
