How difficult is it to replace the water pump on this washer? It looks like there are two straps that hold the pump in place but is there more? The part is number AP2908525

The part is number AP2908525 The most difficult part of the repair is removing and re installing the cabinet assembly properly. You are correct, the drain pump is "attached" to the drive motor shaft by 2 spring clips, once the clips are released, pull out on the pump body approximately 1 inch. loosen or remove hose clamps over a bowl or pan, to collect the water in the pump( approximately 2 to 4 ounces). Re install in reverse order Hope this is enough information
