Dear expert,
My Whirlpool waher won't drain to the higher level pipe. Is that any problem of the water pumping motor or related switch failed to turn on the pumping motor? Would you tell me which part I should buy for repair--The switch or pumping motor. Thanks!
Eric

Your pump runs continually as it is a direct drive off the motor. When the machine is in spin mode the pump takes water out.
If the machine is spinning, but not draining something is likely blocking the line, usually a sock in the pump. Also, the pump itself could be broken.
Take off the cabinet, check out the pump and I am betting you will find a blockage.
