My washer will not agitate during the wash and rinse cycle but it will during the draining of the water....please help?

Unfortunately GE does not release technical data on your machine, so we can only take an educated guess.

In your case, if the machine is agitating while it is draining the transmission is the likely problem. Before doing anything though I would check all of the wiring coming into and going out of the timer.
