Hello, I have a whirlpool LCE4332PQ . Today I noticed that the agitator was moving back and forth in the same position, but the the agitator was unable to turn around fully unless i gave it a slight push with my hand. I belive the dog ears/ cogs are shot on the washer since if i just slightly press my finger up against the agitator the ratchet turning action is restored and the agitator turns around completely. The spin cycles and rest of the washer works completely.
I am uncertain how to go about the repair and identifying what parts to get. I have no idea when the dog ears would go in. There appears to be a special screw holding on the agitator, but under the parts lists for this washer I do not see dog ears. I was wondering if the agitator might have a different type of mechanism since it is a portable washer with a simple agitator mechanism.
Thank you all for the help

I was able to remove the agitator and clean up some lint there. The basket still doesn't turn all the way around unless some finger force is applied to help nudge it. I didn't see anything resembling dog ears. Perhaps I need to remove more parts?

Is it possible that the dog ears are contained on the underside by the motor instead of up top with the agitator?
