My washiner is leaking

Model Number: 417.91702001 Brand: Kenmore Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a washing machine that seems to work just fine. However, I noticed that there was a constant (although slow) dripping off the upper inside lining in the "tub", where the water normally sprays down. I think my shut off vavle must be worn. How do I replace it? I spoke with one of your Cust service reps and he told me the part # is AP3363282 I have never opened a washing machine before. Can you please help me out I would appreciate it.
