Maytag Front Load
Model Number: MAH5500BWW Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years
While The Washer Is Off But Still Plugged In, The Drum Will Overfill With Clean Water All By Itself. I Can Spin The Water Out And Look Inside Hours Later And There Will Be More Water, Maybe Just A Little Or Maybe Alot. If Left Alone It Will Eventually Over Fill. Has Done This Twice In The Last Few Days. No Error Codes Showing.

Sounds like your water valve assembly is stuck and needs replacing. Call APP with your model and serial number to get the right part as there are several of these for your model.
