Washer does not spin
Model Number: LAT8826AAE Brand: Maytag Age: 1 - 5 years
Our washer has the following problem. Do I need a new transmission? Here are the symptoms:
-Washer does not spin but it does pump water -The drive belt is slipping and burning -The agitate cycle works -Belt tension looks good -I removed the agitator (the plastic part in the middle of the tub) and there was nothing jammed in there. Follow-up question: Is this part serviceable? Is it an all or nothing replacement part?
