WHAT WOULD BE THE CAUSE OF A VERY HIGH PITCH NOISE IN THE SPIN CYLE OF A WASHING MACHINE ???

Tilt the washer back. Remove the belt and check how freely the pump pulley is moving in both directions. Post the results.
