Model Number: LA7800XPW1 Brand: Whirlpool Age: More than 10 years
The manifold trap under the tub in a Whirlpool washer is connected to the tub by a rubber grommet that passes through a hole in the bottom of the tub. Can I replace the grommet from the bottom of the tub by squeezing the grommet to distort it and then forcing it into the hole in the tub? Or do I need to remove the agitator and basket and then insert the grommet from inside the tub? It'll certainly be a lot easier if I can do it from the bottom. Thanks for your advice.
