NO start condition -
Pull the knob to start and nothing. No click, nothing.
I've got it narrowed down to a support switch $56.00 or the timer $188.
Is there a way to bypass the support (start) switch to confirm this is the problem?
Is there a test I should be running?
Can I bypass my switch with jumper cables, duct tape and bailing wire?:D
If it's the timer I may purchase a new washer.
HELP!
My clothes aren't washing themselves!

Did you check for 120 VAC at the wall outlet? The support switch (#2 on the diagram) is just a metal mounting plate for all parts in the control panel. If the power to the washer is correct, remove the front panel and check the lid switch (#388 on the diagram). Make sure it's engaged properly when the lid is closed. - The lid switch assembly Part number: AP2045986

Gene, Thanks for the response. I did check AC voltage - plugged my dryer into same outlet and it works so it has power. I replaced the lid switch probably three years ago. BUT - when it failed - teh washer would fill and timer would run but it would not spin /agitate. So I suspect the lid switch isn't the issue. I'm at work so canr' just run over and check it. Sounds like the problem is a bad timer, but without the wiring diagram I can not tell you how to test it. If you do have the wiring diagram and can post it, it may help. - The timer Part number: AP2045973
Gene. P.S. Appliance Parts Pros price for this timer is just $110.38 compare to $188 you posted earlier.

Can the timer be bypassed/jumped to determine / validate that it's faulty?
I just did a pretty extensive GOOGLE on the wiring diagram and came up empty.

Any timer is just an assembly of a few switches operated by a special timer motor. You can not do any tests or bypass anything without the wiring diagram. Check inside the control panel for the tech sheet.

Gene. Y'know Gene - God Bless you! It just occurred to me that my wife told me a month or so back that the washer "never stopped" it just kept spinning and spinning. Told me it's done this a "few times". What else could it be but the timer getting ready to go "toes up"? I'm going to order one up! Thank you so mouch for the assistance. I appreciate it!
