Maytag washer is definitely spinning slower than normal and not removing all water from clothing. Agitator occasionally sounds like it is agitating during spinning and has actually thrown the clothing around in the tub causing unbalance. Any ideas?
Thanks.

Does it spin while agitating?

It does spin but not as fast as normal and sometimes it agitates during the spin cycle.
Thanks.

Sure seems like a bad tranny to me, rather expensive to fix.
