I have about a 2 year old Frigidaire Front loader (FTFB4000FS) that I bought at BestBuy. About 3 weeks ago it started having a problem. It won't do the final spin at all. Drains fine but then it just tumbles about 4 times (with or without a load in the machine) and then sounds the finished tones.
When I put it through Diagnostic mode I get an error 43. Which says I should change the control board. I have done that and I have also change the Speed Control unit board just in case. Obviously neither fixed the problem.

If CAN get the final spin to run in Diagnostic mode so i know from a technical standpoint final spin works.

I'm pretty much out of idea at this stage. I read some where on the internet that it might be bearings or it might be the balance or tachometer in the motor.

does anyone have any ideas?
any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey, I suppose you've fixed your spin problem--but I was wondering what you did. I have the exact situation--code 43 and final spin works in diagnostic mode. I'm reluntant to change the control board if that didn't work when you did it. I suspect the diagonstic mode bypasses the door lock which is the other possible issue.
Let me know if you have an suggestions. Thanks

door lock was the culprit
pretty east to repair.
tip, take the rubber skirt off around the cylinder from the inside.
you don't need to take the top off

Thanks so much. I was hesitant to buy the control board. Do you know where I can find instructions for replacing the door lock?
