Default Washer barely agitates, won't drain or spin
Model Number: LLT8244AQ0   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: More than 10 years

If you don't put many clothes in, it will agitate lightly. At the drain cycle, all goes quiet ... the water won't pump out.

Sounds like a bad lid switch and either a bad timer, or a bad pin on the motor connector.Check other cycles.

Smile half-way fixed

Fixed limit switch and unit still does not agitate well. My wife said that before it quit, it seemed to be noisy and not agitating well. That may have been the initial primary issue that caused the lid switch to go. How do I tell if I have a belt problem, a motor problem, a spline problem or something else.
Thanks for your help so far.

Default Agitator Mover (Top Agitator)

I found that only the top agitator doesn't work. The "Agitator Mover" also called the "Clothes Mover" seems to have worn spline teeth. I plan to replace that and all should be good.
Thanks, John
