Unhappy doesn't work on solid compact

i have a kitchenaid kucc151vo compactor. turning the switch with rocker switch in normal position it works fine.putting the rocker switch on solid position it trys to work for a second. returning switch to normal it runs back up. do you think i have a bad rocker switch. air filter switch is same type of switch and same part #. thinking about switching wires around and checking that way. what do you think. garth

Default Similar problem diff Model Number

I am experience same issue with Kitchenaid KUCS02CRSS1. Works fine on normal mode, does not work on solid mode.

Did you ever find a solution?

Smile doesn't work on solid compact

yes. i ,used the fan switch,which is next to it and switched wire's as a test and it worked. on my unit they are the same part number. if you have a fan switch, you may want to try it.
