my trash compactor does not shut down when it reaches the upper postion after cycle, I believe it is the directional switch. It appears the swicth is being physically switched (I took the top off and you can see the switch being hit by the ram tab when it comes back up) but it continues to run until it is turned off by main switch. I can replace the switch but reading that the motor also plays some part in operation with a torque switch not sure if that will fix my problem. Also this problem did not repeat itself on every try. I can activate the direction switch early and it stops the ram every time. The problem only occurs at the top of the return cycle.
