Kitchen Aid Trash Compactor runs continuously
Model Number: KUCC151LSS0 Brand: Kitchen Aid Age: 5 - 10 years
When the door on the compactor is closed, it starts running. It completes it's cycle & starts a thumping noise. It should not start until the toe switch is activated & should stop when it reaches the end of the cycle. It seems as if the toe switch is stuck on, but I can't tell where the switch or switch mechanism is located or how to unstick it.
