The compactor ram operates whether the drawer is in the open or closed position. I've located the switches that engage when the drawer is closed. There is one on each side & they look identical. I'm assumming they (safety) are at fault & need replacement. There is no debris around these switches that would cause them to be inoperable. In the schematic of frame parts these 2 switches look identical however have different part # & names. Are they the same switch?
#15 right side whirlpool part#775804 named: drawer tilt switch
#17 left side whirlpool part#775803 named: drawer safety switch
Are these interchangeable & do I need to replaced both of them.
