Will the key switch return from the Start position to the Run position by itself?
Check the key switch for continuity between the "V" & "Y" terminals while the switch is in Run position. Post the results. Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for General Electric ZCG3300VWW-01 TRASH COMPACTOR | AppliancePartsPros.com Gene.

The switch with terminals "V" & "Y" is what it calls "momentary switch". Such switch must return to to its normal (open) position when released.
If it does not happen, the key switch has to be replaced. - The key switch Part number: AP2037730 Gene.
