Model Number: KUCC151TO Brand: Kitchen Aid Age: More than 10 years
The one power nut is stripped (part no. 15). How do I replace it? Also one of the pad rams is missing. Is it necessary to replace since they are quite expensive? Any help is greatly appreciated.

It should be pretty straight forward. Turn off the power pull the compactor out and remove any covers that cover the power nuts. There are 2 bolts that hold the power nut retainer remove those and change the power nut. You should always change both, if one is gone the other might not last too much longer. As to whether you should change the ram pads its up to you there is no way we can say whether it will cause more problems down the road. If I was going to repair it I would do it all. The pads are spendy but they are a set of 8.
