Kitchen Aid trash compactor won't raise
Kitchenaid model kucc151gss sticks down when using the "solid pack" compact button. When toggling this compact button off to "normal", we just hear a buzzing sound like the motor is stuck in the down/compacted position. We have then just turned the radial switch on the right side to "off" to save the motor.
Is this a motor problem or possibly one of the switches? One more note: the compactor cycles down and up normally when just using the radial dial "start" "on" switch on the right. It just gets stuck in the lowest down position with the "solid pack" button engaged. Please help! Last edited by erics : 02-09-2009 at 02:32 PM.
