Trash Compactor Repair

The big wheel on the motor is not turning therefore the compactor is not compressing the trash.

Just had the same problem with mine. There is another gear under the big one. Either this one is broke or the one on the motor shaft is broke.

Replace the big one:
With very small screw driver remove clip from botton of shaft. Slide gears off. Order the part. Pretty easy job.

If it is the gear on the end of the motor drive you will have to tap out the spring pin remove gear and replace. Also pretty easy.
