Model Number: GX900QPPS2 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years
Today I had our compactor stop working with the ram halfway down after starting the compactor. I took it out and checked the lower gears and the unit is throwing the cotter pin that holds the plastic drive gear in place. I replaced it and did a test run and it threw it again, only this time, it cracked the drive gear as well. Anyone have any suggestions on why it's doing this? It popped the cotter pin twice at the bottom of the compacting cycle if this makes any difference. Thanks in advance.
