Kitchen Aid trash compactor will not stop
Brand: Kitchen Aid Age: 1 - 5 years
My Kitchen aid trash compactor would not shut off, had to trip circuit braeker. the door would not open because the ram was down. Took bottom panel off and found the 5" white gear broken in half. I manually turned the shaft that raises the ram to open the door. When I tried to test the motor it would hum and turn the gear on the shaft very slowly, less than 1 turn until the motor turned off.
Is the mote burned out? Is a switch bad? Ads By Google
