compactor wont turn on

compactor wont turn on

Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years

Appliance Parts from AppliancePartPros.com

When I push the button to compact the trash, the compactor won't do anything. No noise like it wants to compact or anything. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what might be the problem??? Thanks
