Appliance Parts from AppliancePartPros.com
Yeah, okay, you can tell this thing is REALLY old. The motor went bad, so I thought I would go ahead and replace it myself. Bought the recommended substitute part (don't think the original is available anymore).

Of course, the wiring doesn't look exactly the same. The motor comes with an attached switch, and the switch has color-coded terminals....BUT. The first time, I just ran colored wire to color-named post on switch, tried to run it - and it sort of ran, but the limit switches weren't tied in quite right and it would never hit the top and stop; plus, it seemed like there was an extra "hot" wire juicing something it shouldn't, which heated the motor until the thermal switch kicked in.

The generic "instructions" shipped with the motor didn't quite match either the old motor or the new one. I thought about just putting the old switch back on the new motor - but the old motor has five wires coming out, the new one has six, and they each have one color that the other one didn't have. Oy!

I'd be happy to get a pointer to an actual manual - I can take digital photos and post them - I'm open to just about anything...any suggestions?
