Model Number: tc407 Brand: Jenn-Air Age: More than 10 years
I have a Jenn Air trash compactor (407) that is making a lot of noise in the up and down cycle. It will run but stop part way through the cycle. The motor keeps running and the screw posts keep turning but the ram just loudly vibrates. If I put pressure on the ram, it goes down to the botton, then I have to pull up on it to bring it up. It will shut off correctly after I pull it up to the shutoff switch.
Are the plastic guides threaded and stripped? I found some pieces that looked like plastic spring material on each side all covered with grease. I found a drawing that showed these parts as power nuts. Could this be the problem? I hope so because the parts are cheap but how difficult are they to change out? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Bob Ads By Google Related Models |
