Most probable problem is a bad defrost heater....

Most probable problem is a bad defrost heater. Remove the freezer panel and check heater, if black inside with a gap, it's bad, get a new one on this site.

Remove the back freezer panel and check frost...

Remove the back freezer panel and check frost pattern, if total, heavy frost,
defrost the coils. Most probable problem is the defrost thermostat clipped to the top of the evaporator.

Most probable problem is the defrost heater. Remove the freezer back panel, defrost the coils and check the heater, if black inside with a gap, it's blown.

If the freezer temperature is well below freezing and the defrost heater is ok, I would replace the motherboard and add a Belkin 1000 joule surge protector to the wall outlet to protect the board.

If the compressor shakes, then clicks off, it is shutting down on it's overload.
Compressor normally will be vibrating, warm, and the small diameter tubing will be hot.
