My Maytag Refridgerator did not auto defrost. Model MZD2766GEB. Resistancs on heat element when frozen was 22 ohm both straight thru element and thru what I believe is the temp sensor and element. When I defrosted with hair dryer I had 22 ohm thru element and 240k ohm thru element and sensor. Not sure if element is bad or the defrost cycle timer is bad. Please advise. Thanks

The defrost heater and thermostat check out OK so it is probably your defrost board that is shot (Item 13 in Section 2).
