I have the same Amana fridge (SXD26VW) and the same problem as described in another post. Gene posted the answer below. I have swapped the wires on the solenoids of the first (primary) water valve and did not get any water out of the hose into the ice maker. I swapped the wires on the solenoids of the secondary water valve (the one located further into the base of the fridge) and I got water out of the tube for the ice maker. I want to confirm, do I just need to replace the seconday water valve?

Thanks,
Dave

There are two solenoids on each water valve. One solenoid controls water for the ice maker and another one controls water for the water dispenser.

Swap the wires between those solenoids on the first water valve, push the water dispenser lever for a few seconds and check if there is water in the ice maker. If there is water, swap the wires back and do the same test with the other water valve.
