I have a unit that was only despensing crushed ice and water in the door...which i was fine with. The other day my wife opened the freezer door and told me that there was a spark from down on the bottom of the freezer and the ice and water does not work any more. I pulled the kickplate off and noticed that 2 wires had been cut and twisted together (light blue and dark blue), but they were not covered in tape. one of the pairs pulled apart and touched the door brace and sparked. i put them back together and sodered them back up but i dont have any power in the door (water and ice). the ice maker works but the power in the door doesnt. is there a fuse or something or just time to dump this thing? sorry for the long post. thanks for all of your help everyone.
