We have the above GE refrigerator. The switch on the icemaker that toggles between crushed and cubed ice does not work. The repair man says the solenoid in the door is bad. He says that part is not made anymore and that I might be able to find it on the internet. I have no idea what the part is or where to find it.

Please help.

Phil,

This part is still available and you can order it by clicking on the part number bellow, but I do not think the problem with the cubed and crushed ice has something to do with this solenoid. This solenoid opens the ice door. You probably need the dispenser control board.
