You may have the same problem I am having. The lights are staying on even when the doors are closed. I'm assuming the switch is bad but it could be something different. any suggestions?

Mr Limon

The first thing I would check is the condition of the condenser coil under the fridge. It is very important to keep them clean for good performance of the fridge. If the condenser coil is blocked with lint it will cause the compressor to overheat. The part of the cooling system (aka second condenser) goes inside the door frame to prevent it from the moister built up and if the system is overheated, the door frame is going to be hot too.

Good luck.
Gene.

Hi broberts32

Most likely the problem with your fridge is a bad light switch but also it could be shorted wires (very low possibilities).
You did not post the model number of your fridge and I'm not able to help you with the part number.

Good luck.
Gene.
