This is a repeat of my earlier posting. I inadvertently used my name instead of the specific problem I am having in the "Title Block"

Model Number: BC 20E-G Brand: Amana Age: More than 10 years

The water inlet valve has been chattering for several months now but the icemaker filled up normally. The icemaker stopped working last week so I replaced the inlet valve but the Icemaker still will not fill ........ I am able to get water to the outer connection to the icemaker mounted on the rear outside of the refrigerator but the icemaker still won't fill up.

Any suggestions will be gratefully accepted

Right........... finally figured that out ....... tried to "thaw" the tube out with my trusty hair dryer but that didnt seem to work...... I manually put some water in the icemaker and after a while the maker "threw " that batch, but there is still a blockage in that supply tube........quit for the day and will try the dryer again tomorrow...........I know I have water up to the plastic fitting which goes into the back of the refrigerator. Thanksfor your capable help.....it is truly appreciated and I'll letyou know the outcome tomorrow afternoon....(Dr's appt in am)
