Model Number: HSS25IFMCWW Brand: Hotpoint Age: 5 - 10 years
In the past, water has been dripping from the ice maker and freezing on the arm and shelf behind it. Once a week, I was able to remove the excess ice and the unit made ice as normal. This last time after removing the excess ice off of the arm, the unit stopped making ice. I don't see any water flow to the tray. If I manually fill the tray, ice is made and dumped in the bin. I do have water flow to the dispenser in the door. I powered off the ice maker, powered it back on, moved the arm 3 times and the unit cycled itself, but no water was sent to the tray. Now the green light is blinking beside the power switch. Would this be caused by a bad water valve or a bad ice maker unit? Any ideas?
Thanks!!!! |
