Default Ice Maker Seems To Be Leaking
Model Number: DRB1801AC   Brand: Amana   Age: 5 - 10 years

There Is Very Cold Water On The Floor In Front Of My Fridge, not A Lot. I Have Also Noticed That It Only Does This When The Icemaker Is In The Normal Position...in Other Words When The Arm Is Up It Does Not Leak. What Would Be The Problem. And Is It An Easy Fix? Any Help Will Be Appreciated.
Thank You,
Oldladycamper

First thing to check would be the floor of the freezer, does it have a layer of ice? Is there any evidence of the ice maker leaking, ie. icicles? Based on what you said, I would suspect the defrost drain as being clogged and frozen. And when it goes into defrost, about once a day the water will leak out your door.

You Were Right, the Floor Of The Freezer Was Full Of Ice. I Cleaned It Out. And Reset The Ice Maker Arm. I Will Wait And See If It Will Make Ice Or Not. As For The Other, where Would I Lookto Find Where It Might Be Clogged? There Does Not Seem To Be A Drain Pan On This Model Of Fridge.
