My compressor went out in my refrigerator, which was covered by warranty. Now we find out that the compressor actually fried all the components in the refrigerator. We have received the parts; however, Frigidaire repair says that they no longer have the youter loop bypass part and we are to bypass. It is my understanding this part ensures that the refrigerator does not sweat. My concern is that if this is done that water will accumulate and rust out the frigerator and drip on my hardwood floors. Does anyone have any recommendations? I have contacted the liability dept of Eletrolux; however, they are having an issue putting something in writing so that when my wood floors are ruined they will pay for the repair.
