I have a 11 yr old Kitchen Aid Frig side by side that still runs just fine. However I am hearing a hollow clicking noise every minute or so accompanied by what seems like a slight slowing of the fans rpms. Sounds like something electric is spontaneously opening and closing. Maybe I can swap out and electrical component if someone could identify it for me. Also it seems like the Frig runs constantly. Thanks, Jake53

You probably have a hard starting compressor, either a burnt start winding, internal mechanical problems, or a start device going bad. The parts breakdown fails to show one, so call this parts site to get one. If the new start device fails to fix the problem, you have a bad compressor.

Richappy there seems not to be starting device as per the parts tech. Could it be the overload relay? Thanks, jake53

Item 15 on the parts breakdown is not shown; call this parts site to get the correct part.
