Supercooling in Freezer plus other symptoms
Model Number: 106.565424 Brand:

This is my first post and I'll try to describe my problem clearly...any help would be very much appreciated.
My Kenmore side by side seems to be supercooling my freezer side, while the refrigerater side isn't cooling enough. Adjustments to the temperature has no effect. Water began accumulating in the bottom of the refrigerator and ice began forming in the bottom of the freezer. The drain hole eventually seals up and the ice maker begins frosting as if there is an air leak. The vent in the center wall between the refrigerater and freezer ices up and freezes solid. Lastly, when we open either side and then close it, you can hear a suction sound that creates makes it extremely difficult to open either door again until you release the pressure by opening the ice shoot allowing the pressure to equalize. I completely thawed everything and the symptons resumed after about a week (long enough for the drain hole and the center vent to freeze over).
The Kenmore has a manufacture date of 2004 and this issue has been ongoing for more than a year. I'm just trying to get a handle on whether to spend some money for repair or just buy another one. I haven't been able to find a resolution online.
Thanks in advance for any insight.
