I have a Gibson chest freezer that I got from a friend about two years ago. It worked flawlessly for about a year and then stopped working about mid fall. It sounds like the compressor is working, but nomatter how long I let it sit, it won't actually get any colder than the temperature of the basement. I am wondering now if it might need a coolant recharge. I am also unsure as to the age of the freezer, though I'm pretty sure that it is more than 10 years old. Any help figuring this out would be greatly appreciated.
