The water intake valve on my 2002 Frigidaire Gallery side-by-side refrigerator/freezer is leaking on the side that leads to the water filter. I have been trying to clean the ferule and then tightened it as hard as I could, but it is still leaking. The only way to stop the leaking is to hold the tubing perfectly centered, but it does not stay in that position on its own. I think I have to replace the ferule, which means the whole tubing connecting the valve to the filter. However, I do not see anyway to get to the water filter from the backside of the fridge. Here are my questions:
1. Is there an alternative to replacing the whole tubing?
2. If I have to replace the tubing, are there instructions on how to do this?

P.S.: I found some references to leaking water lines, but most of them were related to the ice maker or the double valve, none to the water intake valve.
