Hi all,

I'm totally new to trying to fix a fridge issue on my own, so excuse my newbie-ness.

The ice maker in my GE Profile fridge has stopped making ice. To begin with diagnosing the issue, I've completed a few things that I saw online on various sites:

-Verify the freezer temperature is under 9 degrees..it's 0. YES
-Turn the ice maker off/on...is the light a solid green? YES
-Change water filter in fridge. YES
-Does water come out from the front dispenser of the fridge? YES
-Pour water into the ice maker tray and see if it handles pushing it out a few hours later. YES
-Verify the tube going into the freezer to deliver water to the ice maker isn't frozen over. YES

Basically...all these passed. So now, I'm stuck on how to proceed. How is the water flow into the ice maker controlled? Is it possible there's still an ice maker issue, or perhaps there's a clog in the actual line going up to the freezer? Seems like replacing this part might help:

Double Outlet Water Valve

However, I don't know for sure that's the issue and it would be a waste of $50 if not.

Any suggestions on what I can do next to confirm the issue would be sincerely appreciated.

Thanks all!

-Mike
