I am having problems with a GE refrigerator Model PSS25NGMAWW (Profile Arctica Side by Side). It is 3 years old. It just started freezing food in the refrigerator compartment . With the electronic controller set point at 37 degrees, the actual temperature in the refrigerator side is 29 or 30. Changing the set point does not change the actual temperature. Replacing the mother board number WR55X10942 did not solve the problem.

What should I check/do next.

Thank you

There is a damper in the top of the fresh food section that controls airflow into the fresh food section. Often this damper will break, allowing potentially unlimited amount of cold air into to fresh food section from the freezer. This will cause the temperature in the fresh food section to get down into the 20s freezing the food.

This page will help GE Refrigerator Freezing Food In Fresh Food Section

If the damper seems ok, you can check your thermisters right at the motherboard, just check your service sheet. If no service sheet, you can go to my comments in the sticky " refrigerator (GSS &PSS) models. It gives the pins to check and common resistence values. Generally, you check between the 5 volt power supply and each thermister pin.
