Help.....

My daughter's side by side with front door ice and water quit making ice....does not cycle or fill!! 3 years ago she removed the water filter (bottom front) and all was well until a week ago.....ice maker was running and making ice but also making a clunk...clunk...clunk noise then it just stopped!!:mad:

Suggestions please??:o

Should I just replace the complete ice maker and solenoid valve or is there something to clean and reset once a new filter is installed!!??:confused:
