Cleaned coils 2-3 weeks ago when it first stopped cooling...very dirty..never were cleaned before. Plugged it back in after being off over night and started cooling again right away. Now 3 weeks later fridge and freezer stopped cooling again. Just unplugged it again over night and it is working again. Any ideas on where to start to look for this problem.

Thanks for your help.

I would pull he motherboard out behind the fridg and look for bad solder joints in the back around the power relay. If ok, I would replace the board and the refigerator thermisters. Board # AP4436216, thermisters(a white, thin plastic part) AP3185407

Is the Evaporator Coil in the back of the freezer freezing up? (does it have about a 1/2 inch of frost and ice?) This may be a problem with your refrigerators Defrost Cycle and would be far less expensive to repair!

Pull the 3 pin power connector(gray plug) off the motherboard, notice which pins on the connector mate with the pc board line and def. pins. Stick a jumper between these pins and see if it now defrosts. If so, you have a bad motherboard. If not, you probably have a blown defrost heater.

Just resolder it or take it to a shop to have it done.

No problem...I can do that...but what could have caused it to burn and whats to stop it from doing it again. Just curious and thanks again for the help.
