I have a side-by-side kenmore fridge, 253.5738. In the icemaker, there is a wire lever that is supposed to stop icemaking when there's enough ice in the bin. As the ice cubes stack, the lever is supposed to be pushed up until it switches the unit off. But the ice cubes just seem to go around it, rather than lifting it up, and icemaking never stops. The switch itself works fine if I push it up by hand, it's just that the ice doesn't budge it.
