Hello all,
Need some help on my refrigerator. My refrigerator is too cold and my freezer works just fine. I have vacuumed the heat sinks and turned down the cold control on my fridge. It still keeps freezing everything in it.
Need Help
Thanks

in the fridge section top left behind panel there is apart called a damper control, it has a a white rectangular plastic flap ,should have a spring attached to open and close damper when activated ,some time spring comes off, check there first

misterfixall, question , I have a older modern maid tri color fridge it runs too cold, but the temp controls just have number no indication which way to make warmer, I rent the apartment and the landlord doesn't know either the control is number 0 to 7, do you have any idea which way to turn so everything stops freezing we have it set at 4 in the fridge side and everything is rock hard with in an hour on the freezer side.

If the compressor is running turn the control till it cuts off. That will be the warmest setting probably 0.
If the compressor is not running turn the control till it starts. That will be the colder setting probably 7.

I need help I can not figure out where to re-attach the spring for the damper door. I do see where it attaches to the damper door but cant figure where the other end of the spring should attach too. its a Maytag msd2957. thank you in advise because the exploded view just shows it as a part to order not where to place it
