Model Number: KSRP25FNSS00 Brand: Kitchen Aid Age: 1 - 5 years
When the fridge was under warranty, the ice in the ice maker started freezing into a solid chunk. The technician said the problem was with the little plastic door which opens to let the ice out. It was loose, allowing warm air into the ice maker.
The only solution, according to the technician, was to replace the entire freezer door! Well, this has happened again and the product is no longer under warranty. I called KitchenAid and, as you can imagine, found no help there. Any suggestions? Thank you. |

I have come across simular problems in the past and most everytime it was a leaky water valve. A water valve will develope a faucet like drip on the ice and make it stick together. Easy solution: replace the water valve.a water valve double.jpg
